Running the /resetnavpane command removes all customizations to the navigation pane. You can determine if it's corrupted by creating a new profile and changing which profile is used when Outlook starts. If you can't open Outlook, or Outlook disappears or crashes, one of your add-ins may be to blame or you may need to update Outlook. This write-up is to help you get out of such a scene and get things back to normal as before with Outlook 2016 (and other recent versions too). Here, we have compiled a couple of workarounds or quick methods using which the whole Outlook won’t open mess will fly away. If Outlook is NOT able to start in safe mode, then try the next proposed solution below, entitled Create a new Sites.Google.Com Outlook profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to complete these steps. You can automatically repair your Office program files to resolve such problems as Outlook freezing or not responding. If creating a new profile Sites.Google.Com solves your issue, you can return to the Show Profiles dialog and delete your old profile. Your profile stores a variety of settings that control how Outlook looks and feels. You can create a new profile and then add your email accounts to the new profile. We recommend setting Windows Update to automatically download and install recommended updates.

We will ensure that all information is retained and only contacts with matching information in all fields will be cleaned up. To check if you have received the fix, review your contact list to confirm duplicates have been removed. To help you get rid of these duplicates, we have released a fix which will automatically clean up your contact list. This fix will clean up duplicate contacts for end users starting August 9, 2023. Rollout of the fix to all users will take few weeks, so, some users may see the fix applied by the end of September.

In this case, you can reset your view settings before opening the Sites.Google.Com app. Select your Microsoft Office installation on the list and choose "Change" at the top. In this case, open Outlook in safe mode where your add-ins aren’t loaded and remove any suspicious add-ins. In most cases, Outlook doesn’t tell you why it isn’t opening, which leaves you guessing as to what has caused the issue. Due to underlying system or PST issues, Outlook may crash, freeze, or not function properly. Find solutions to common problems or get help from a support agent.
